MURIEL TOMLINSON TROPHY

The Muriel Tomlinson Trophy is the newest of the Club's trophies, a handsome cup which was presented to the Club by Muriel Tomlinson at the end of her term of office as Chairman. Muriel was a founder member of the Club and presented the Trophy to mark her 25 years of involvement with the Club, during which she has served in a number of posts.

The cup has previously been presented to the highest British points scorer in the Donington rounds of the Formula Ford Championship, and for 2002 was offered for the Radical Bi-Duro Championship races. 2004 saw a new racing formula join the ranks of UK motorsport, the Formula BMW UK Championship and with it came a wealth of young talented drivers. The participants of the Formula BMW UK Championship are at the start of their career in Formula racing, however the youngsters are already more than capable of delivering some fine motorsport. The club are delighted to be able to again present the trophy to one of these young racers who may one day be a star of Formula 1, so in 2006 the trophy was presented to the highest British points scoring driver over the Donington Park rounds of this years championship.
